Our Programs
Life-saving Cardiac surgeries
We facilitate and fund life-saving cardiac surgeries for poor Filipino children. We vet candidates for medical and financial need, and coordinate with local hospitals to get the surgery scheduled. We also follow surgery recipients for a period of time after the surgery to make sure they are recovering well. Donated funds go directly to pay for hospital and physician fees, medical supplies, and the hospitalization. Funds are also used to pay for the family’s travel expenses to and from the hospital, as many families cannot afford to travel from island to island.
christmas meals
Around Christmas time, the Pusong Pinoy Forever team travels to Manila. They distribute meals and aid to poor Filipino families. To date, we have provided more than 3,000 meals to families in the streets of Manila.
pay-it-forward Micro loans
Pedicab drivers are the transportation lifeblood of many Filippine cities. We support pedicab drivers and other small business by providing the capital they need to expand their businesses. To date there have been approximately 350 recipients.
DISASTER relief
In 2013, Pusong Pinoy Forever distributed over $17,000 in aid to victims of Typhoon Yolanda (Haiyan). We stand ready to provide more aid in the event of future disasters.
medical missions
Pusong Pinoy Forever provides basic medical assistance to homeless families by cleaning wounds, taking basic vital signs, etc. We also provide education on matters concerning health and hygeine.
Additionally, on these mission trips we provide medication to disabled children living in orphanages. We are funding medication for 75 disabled children.
vaccination program (in development)
We are currently developing a project to provide free immunizations to homeless Filipino families living on the streets. This program will align with the U.S. Center for Disease Control and Prevention’s (CDC) vaccine and immunization schedule.
